The De Klerk genealogy: “Van Vogelvalleij na verre velde…” (in Afrikaans) by dr David de Klerk is the result of 25 years of genealogical research about the descendnts of Abraham le Clercq, who arrived in 1688 at the Cape of Good Hope as Huguenot refugee with his mother, Sara Cochet, his sister Jeanne (Jannetjie) and his brother Joost. At the age of 39 jarige he got married, on May 12th 1709 in Stellenbosch, to Madelein (Magdalena) Mouton. The couple eventually settled on the loan farm Vogelvalleij, now known as Voëlvlei, near the present Hermon. B5 format, 326 pages.
The price of the book is R180 (plus R65 postage and packing domestically, and R360 abroad). Life members of the Huguenot Society of SA can purchase one book at the price of R120 (plus R65 postage and packing domestically and R360 abroad). For orders of ten or more books at the same time the price is R120 (plus postage).
