THE HUGUENOT TRUST

ABOUT

THE HUGUENOT TRUST

The Huguenot Foundation was established in 1988 with the tercentenary festival of the arrival of the Huguenots in 1688. The name was later changed to that of the Huguenot Trust. The purpose of the Trust is to manage the assets of the Trust. These comprise the Saasveld Building and the Huguenot Monument terrain. The Trust ensures that the Huguenot Society can fulfil its purpose and aims. It also encourages new research on the Huguenots through sponsorships and bursaries, resulting in new publications.

The assets of the Trust are accumulated through the generous donations and bequest of friends of the Society and other people and institutions supportive of its aims. The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees.
